Based on the true story of Robert Kearns (Greg Kinnear) a college professor and part-time inventor. After winning a competition to invent whats now known as the humble windscreen wiper he finds himself in a bind when his idea is stolen by the Ford Motor Company. Robert becomes obsessed and ends up spending a large part of his life fighting corporate business for recognition.
