Set in German-occupied France Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) is head of a crack commando squad of Jewish Soldiers, known to their enemy as The Basterds, for infamously engaging in acts of mind numbing retribution on there foe. Raine's squad joins forces with German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark (Diane Kruger) on a mission to assassinate the leaders of The Third Reich.
